This was one of our favorite stops on the trip.
We made it to Hoi An via Danang airport. I always love the signs the drivers have waiting to pick up up. I was really excited to get to Hoi An. I heard that was the city to get shots made. Which is what I did. I picked up a couple custom made suits while I was there. You have to love getting a custom made shot in less than 24 hours. I even had a couple pairs of shoes made. You can get a total custom suit ranging from $100 to $300. $300 is the high end suits. Amazing!!! But besides getting suits and shoes. The area is such a great area to explore. Can’t wait to go back. Wish we would of had more time there. If you ever go be sure to check out the Haiau Hotel. $26 per night. Very clean with free wifi and includes breakfast. It’s hard to beat that deal.
People headed home from working all day. These ferry boats take people and their scooters across the river every night.
Love all the colorful lanterns out at night in the old quarter of Hoi An.
We explored some of the local farming areas. We made a friend with a water buffalo.
Amber really enjoyed her ride.
Loved just riding around this area seeing people living their daily lives.
One thing that is so amazing about Vietnam is the amazing vegetables, we visited an organic farm area. It was fun to see how much time they spend taking care of there growing vegetables.
We loved this lady so much. She was about 70 years old. She spends everyday growing her vegetables. Making sure everything is just perfect. She spent some time showing us how to properly water the garden. It was pretty fun. We weren’t as good at is as she is.
It was a little tricky keeping the wood post on your back and swinging these big jugs of water. She had to spend a little more time with me. Showing me the ropes.
I think I finally got it.
Amber was a pro right from the start.
Sweetest lady ever. Loved her!!!
She was so tiny but could probably out work most people.
This husband wife team was a pretty amazing couple also. Working hard on their rice fields.
One of my favorite things to do is explore all the street markets. Love seeing all the fresh vegetables and meat for sale.
The lady’s at these markets where always having fun selling their goods.
This lady enjoying some Pho while keeping an eye on her stand.
We had to check out these basket boats while in the area. It was fun exploring the waterways where a lot of the Vietnam war took place in these boats.
Anotehr fun thing we did is check out how the local fisherman do their thing. Loved seeing them throwing there nets out.
Amber hoping to pull in some fish for us.
She got one!!!!
I had to give it a shot. I caught a small little guy.
It’s crazy to see these boats that are hauling concrete or something really heave. They are barely staying above water.
Walkign around Hoi An at night is always something special.
Love seeing people picking up there dinner for that night. Can’t get much fresher chicken than this.
Love these wood carvings that the locals are carving up.
Hoi An does have a beach also.
Amber made a friend at the street market.
We even came across somebody doing an engagement session.
I had to add some more pics to this post. Amber had some great shots from her GoPro.
